The Monroe Street Farmers’ Market was started in 2015 as a vibrant weekly gathering within walking and biking distance of Madison's near westside neighborhoods where community members would have access to a variety of local produce and products. Currently in its fifth season of operation, the MSFM continues to strive to be a space for community engagement, interaction and entertainment.
Monroe Street Farmers’ Market Board of Directors
Gracie FoxwelL - Board Co-Chair
Gracie lives in the Dudgeon-Monroe neighborhood and co-directs the social media advisory firm Foxwell Digital with her husband Andrew. They can usually be found on their front porch eating, drinking, and visiting with friends while their furry goldendoodle Wingra waits patiently for a cheese curd.
Sarah Woolworth - Board Co-Chair
Sarah lives in the Westmorland Neighborhood and enjoys cooking and eating as much locally grown and produced food as she possibly can. Between her CSA involvement, weekly farmers market visits, and home vegetable garden, she stays pretty well supplied. She currently works for Quince & Apple, helping to produce small batch artisan preserves.
Susie is a Regent Neighborhood resident and has served on the MSFM board for 3 years. She also has leadership roles on several Madison-area non-profit boards. Professionally, Susie runs an organization that provides early-stage entrepreneurs with experienced mentors, and she also enjoys helping to start and grow businesses, with a particular focus on the financial aspects of startups.
Rochelle has lived in Madison for the past 20 years. She is an avid cook, foodie and adventurer to new restaurants both far and wide. Using fresh and local ingredients in her kitchen is very important to her. She is a regular market-goer to all of the city's markets and is now thrilled to be contributing to the vibrant Monroe Street Farmers' Market as a board member. Rochelle has a junior who goes to West High School, who along with their poodle, Gilly, often visit the MSFM. In her day job, Rochelle works for the State of Wisconsin Investment Board.
William is owner and chocolate maker at Wm. Chocolate in Madison, WI, where he produces single-origin chocolate made from cacao and whole cane sugar selected for flavor and fairness. He is a Dudgeon-Monroe neighborhood native and has been vending at the Monroe Street Farmers' Market since 2016.
Matt co-founded and runs Madison artisan food company Quince and Apple with his wife Clare. They live with their two sons and love walking to the market whenever they have the chance.
